Network Project Manager - ACRO - ABJS, Somerset, NJ

Perform project leadership functions, such as preparing project plans, monitoring and reporting on project progress, highlighting risks against the plan and desired solution, and mentoring team members;

Communicate frequently with all project stakeholders to provide project status, risk analysis, technical recommendations and resource constraints that may impact strategic direction;

Create, manage and update tasks, resource allocation and the overall project timeline;

Manage multiple project budgets ranging from $5k small works to $2m+ site wide infrastructure upgrades whilst maintaining a tight and accurate control on costs;

Provide subject matter expertise to the team throughout the project life cycle by acting as the liaison to the respective design, development, quality assurance and support teams;

Create business requirements documents, user stories and use cases to support infrastructure requests;

Support project implementations which often occur outside of standard business hours;

Manages portfolio of global network projects;

Gathers and reports daily/monthly team metrics for responsible projects;

Perform related duties as assigned or requested.

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant Science Field, or equivalent in working expertise;

Documented certification in project management methodologies such as PMP, Agile, Prince2.

Excellent attention to detail

Demonstrated understanding of IT networking and recent hands on work experience.

Must be passionate about IT Networks

Must have a customer orientated “can do, nothings too much trouble approach”.

Documented project management skills

Good analytical skills, with strong attention to detail

Good working knowledge of client’s core network technology platforms, including:

Network cabling; LAN switching and routing; Wireless networking; MPLS


Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Project, Visio, Word and Excel are required.

Must have a good understanding of ITIL

Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Self-motivated with the ability to function independently with minimal supervision in a deadline driven work environment.

Effective communication skills to speak to all levels of the organization

Experienced in managing external vendors for installation of on premise network cabling and installation work

Able to work in a global environment and build relationships remotely

Operates using a high standard of excellence and precision for a 24x7 operating environment

Experience working in a regulated environment
