HR Assistant, Chicago, IL

and strategic initiatives.

The work is varied and will require an individual to be flexible, as well as an ability to work in an ambiguous and fast paced environment.

Key accountabilities

Pull and analyze the monthly headcount and people data reporting.

Leave of absence management: Lead and manage the leave of absence process, end-to-end. This includes educating employees and managers, as well as engaging with the third-party health vendor.

Complete all people moves through the organizational management process. Coach and guide leaders to utilize the manager self-service capabilities through the myHR system.

Coach employees to utilize the HR case management system. Escalate issues as appropriate.

Provide monthly report on volume and types of issues as well as completion statistics.

Coordinate HR training sessions, including tracking progress.

Facilitate training as needed.

Provide process improvement and streamlining ideas to improve silent running, data reporting and HR processes.

Ability to deal with sensitive/confidential information appropriately

Proactive self-starter with ability to manage independently and in team environment

Strong sense of urgency and follow-through with bias for action

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to demonstrate solid data analysis and reporting capabilities

Effective and proactive communicator both written and oral

Experience managing small to mid-size projects a plus

Must be detailed oriented and able to balance multiple often competing priorities

Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
